• Plasticbag is a favorite of mine. Hot Links is all headlines, and by the time I get to it, I've usually already read everything on it elsewhere, but I still check it frequently. Engadget is probably my favorite tech blog.
• A few blogs I enjoy: Always informative, sometimes provocative - languagehat under the fire star - glimpses of life in Madras/Chennai, poetry, art, films, Indian culture and people giornale nuovo - unusual books, usually illustrated
• Mefi's stavrosthewonder chicken has some great stories about his sailing and carousing years and later years living in Korea. You'll need to access his archives. The guy can write!

• perhaps not what you are into rolypolyman but rather for others that might be getting ideas from the thread: Jay Is (if that is what he wants to call his site) is a great source for online games. He's an interactive media student, or some such, and he writes about games the same way a good mp3 blogger might write about music. Updates almost every day with a new game to check out.
• My favorite, Cruel Site of the Day. Also Lileks, and the not-often-updated-but-still-fun-to-read Etiquette Hell. And my friend's personal blog, Echoplex; contains cultural commentary as well as an insider's view into the NYC underground/experimental music scene ... here also is his photoblog (he's a very creative fella).

• geek press is cool in a sciency way...what a coloradan radiologist finds diverting... and bifurcated rivets is gnarly...lots of good (and very odd) musical stuff amongst other things.... and i'm surprised no one has mentioned fark.com....i just love their photoshop contests....
