  • Sorry, feeling a bit cynical. Somehow though I think knowing this helps.
  • Every generation imagines that they are the first - to think big thoughts, to go through difficult times, to experience life in total, to eventually pass from power and, in turn, pass from this world. If more people read the reports of what has gone before, the world might be a wiser place.

  • More than a handful is wasted, anyway. [runs off, does some fretful pushups] Regarding the transcript: I found the (Applause) cues very annoying, sort of like a laugh track for politicians. Then I subbed fnord for every (Applause) and all became much more clear.
