Yet another IE only trojan...
With all of these IE only bugs, why should someone ever use Internet Explorer?
-
Because your company's internal systems only work in IE. *shakes fist at company*
-
*joins lari in fist-shaking goodness*
-
*shakes fist at my old bank (Bank of America), which you could only log into via IE*
-
*shakes fist at the fact that "IE" is so fast to type*
-
Because some of IBM's support sites use ActiveX to help you find upgrades and I'm too dumb to work out how to make that happen in Firefox (and will happily accept pointers on this).
-
If you do a search it looks like there's a plugin for version 1.0 at least so feel free to look around. I, for one, won't touch it.
-
*shakes fist at freethought out of sheer boredom*
-
*points out that FF is faster to type, in a non-fist-shaking way*
-
*fists sheikh out of sheer boredom*
-
I think I saw that freethought, but it seems really iffy - you can't enable the plugin I saw for just those times when you need it, so you end up reducing Firefox to the same vulnerability as IE. I was hoping there might be something a little more controlled. Though of course I can just search for the driver updates on the Thinkpad site manually, and should probably mail a gripe to IBM, if they still care now they've sold the farm.
-
Someone would use IE because its so much better than the alternatives.
-
*quickly adopts "FF" and kicks self extremely hard for not thinking of it* *look at SideDish questioningly*
-
Does anyone have a good link for plugins for Firefox? I'm running mac osx 10.3.7 with Firefox 5.0 if it makes a difference.
-
Other than the main extensions site on mozilla, you mean? If so, no. If not, then the main extensions site on mozilla. I'm not helpful.
-
now they've sold the farm Have they sold the farm, or just the hardware manufacturing side of it? I'm sure you have the answer.

Someone would use IE because its so much better than the alternatives. </snorts drink out nose>
-
FF and this computer idiot will never go back! Isn't there some kind of support group where you can stand up and say, "I use IE and my connection is through AOL." hahahahahahaha *Shakes fist *Shakes head *Shakes hips *Boogies out the door
-
I'm sure you have the answer. Just to tack something random onto a dead thread, I'll say that the above phrase is one of my favorites to use as sarcasm.

Another IE bug *yawn*
