Birds do it... In South Africa, the Johannesburg zoo is going to artificially inseminate a pair of lesbian wattled cranes to help propagate the endagered species. Since the cranes are hard-wired for monogamy, the zookeepers decided they needed "to optimize the breeding potential."

  • I believe we should preserve the wattled cranes, but I'm not sure if creating a new generation of lesbian wattled cranes is the answer. Unh, what was the question? Seriously, good luck to the wattled cranes and their inseminators.
  • As long as they don't get married, I'm Ok with it. Allowing that would ruin the bird sanctuary of marriage.
