Henry Lim made a working harpsichord from Legos.
There's even an (admittedly painful) MP3 that proves it works. He also has other Lego sculptures on his site, but none of them are as cool as the harpsichord.

After listening to the MP3, I'm not sure this thing legally qualifies as a harpsichord. But it's still pretty neat.
-
After listening, I dub it a hurt-sichord.
-
The English conductor Sir Thomas Beecham once famously exclaimed that the harpsichord sounded like "two skeletons copulating on a corrugated tin roof."

A harpsicord with metal strings? Why not install pickups, too?

Kelly was skinny, blonde, and wore thick glasses. I loved it when she scolded me for being a smartass. I'd forget to do my homework and she'd give me an F, which refreshingly felt so much more alive than getting another A+. But to get her really pissed off, I'd provoke her by calling her insulting names. To which she'd yell at me, or she'd make me sit in the corner, or she'd ask me to stay after class... wtf? Okay, he's a good builder, but Legos are fucking expensive. If he's got this much cash to waste, he needs to give some of it to me.
