curious george: does anyone know of a device that will allow me to run my g4powerbook off my car cigarette lighter. im in australia
  • Ah ha ha ha. You're kidding, right?
  • Kensington makes an adaptor. It hooks up to a US style cigarette lighter plug. I don't know if you've got the same hookup, but you can look into it.
  • You can either get a power inverter, available at Radio Shack or its local equivalent, as well as sporting goods stores that sell things that might let you run radios on boats or similar. Failing that, an iGo Juice will do what you need in a more specialized manner. I don't know their availability in australia, but probably more limited than a power inverter.
  • You're in Australia? I thought all you Aussies carried generators around with you?
  • You mean like this? Or Or this? Or this? Or this? Google is your friend
  • Do they now have cars in Australia? (I keed, I keed.)
  • Get an inverter. Then you can run other things in your car, too. Inverters of the capacity you need are pretty cheap. Like these.
