- do you like gods? So do me! This is a guide to pantheons, mythologicals, deities & religions of the world. Plus, it has an oracle! (guess what I asked it)
If you like that, you may also enjoy God of the Month Club. This month's god is Juturna. She got back, yo.

May Angus the Ever-Young, god of laughter and poetry, forgive 'em for leaving his name out of the Celtic category. Still, both these take a step in the right direction -- it is lamentable to think of all these now-neglected gods and goddesses sitting around Valhalla or the empty precincts of Zeus' or Hades' palaces, or scribbling away in the Celestial Bureauracy, wondering where all their followers went. Too like bananas or naval orange groves -- their trees bore fruit but failed to reproduce more trees. No god/goddess should be slighted, no hero/heroine left out! Here our devout ancestors spent who knows how many centuries working up a good, serviceable deity fit for anyone to worship, and what do we do? We trash them, in outr throwaway haste! Ach, the sorry waste of it!

No Roman gods? Couldn't find Jupiter.
-
Why doesn't it have possibly the largest pantheon of them all, the Hindu gods?
-
Note: We aim to include all Gods from all cultures. Some pantheons are currently being updated, so if you can't find the God you're looking for, we're probably working on it.
-
Also: 5) Where are the missing Gods? We have thousands of Gods in our Holy Database, but they're not all online. We're working through them as quickly as we can, but does anybody listen? We cannot instantly produce pantheons to order and illustrations by next Tuesday. We are as frustrated as you! Suggestions: Buy us a bigger spade, find us some hours with more than 60 mins. Supply us with a magic carpet, place a small coin in our begging bowl. We are surrounded by thousands of Gods all jostling for their place in the sun. Patience!

Ah, I see. It's Hard Workâ˘.

The God of this month (January 2005) is Janus, God of Portals; Change; Boundaries. Or something.

.. and completely fails to answer the question. That was a black hole gravity well of stupidity. Total straw man. Grrr. Now I'm cross.

Sorry Nostril - wasn't meaning to be trollish but I suppose it was. I've actually been wondering what the fundies and end-of-timers and others will be making of recent events.
-
Same as they ever do - seeing it as confirmatory of everything they already believe. (You weren't being trollish, my reaction to such things is pretty much the same as my reaction to just about everything)

How (a few) people of different faiths have responded to recent events. For me, the atheist's view makes the most sense and provides the most comfort.
