Monkey Mash-up Monday I loved last week's mash-up links, so here we go again. The weird thing about this one isn't that it features Dolly Parton singing Stairway to Heaven. The weird thing is that it's actually really good. And if you can't get enough Stairway, try here, or here or maybe here, the fabulous April Winchell collection.

  • Don't worry, it's still Monday where I live.
  • The Dolly Part one isn't bad, but it's not just Stairway to Heaven, they've also sampled and included Eurythmic's 'In the City' off of Sweet Dreams. It fits in pretty well, surprisingly. Off topic, but I have to say that Eurythmics album has aged pretty well; much better than I'd expected. It's so much stranger than what followed.
  • Oh my, I think I just got to the Pat Benatar part. Hmmm. Odd.
  • Oh, and could I feel more stupid? "Mash-up." Mash. Up. Sometimes I'm just a small ball lost in tall grass.

  • The original Dolly is horrible. This is much better.
