Controlling devices by thought alone is now within reach
Researchers have made significant progress in the quest to have people control electronic devices by thought power.
First application I think they should go for: hooking this mind helmet up to my TV remote so my thumbs don't get so damn tired. Seriously, this has gigantic implications once they iron out the few remaining stumbling blocks.

this is bad news for robots

Holy fucking shit. That is amazing. Wouldn't that give a scientific explanation for some of the ESP phenomena? Perhaps some people's brains can pick up on these signals from someone else's brains. I am afraid.

And now with no electrodes. (.mov here) /Bernockle: ESP doesn't require any explanation since there isn't any phenomena to explain in the first place. Facts first, explanations afterwards. Do it the other way round and it's theology. Can be fun but basically an utter waste of time and brain power.

I had heard the Air Force has been working with this for decades, for the purposes of brain-controlled planes.
