Puppies!

Just trying to lighten up the front page a bit!

  • I needed that.
  • Me too. Thx J. Doe.
  • I already have three cats ... and I'm not a dog person ... and it would be so hard to have a doggie in the city ... but they are only an hour from me and they're so cute! I compromised by passing the link to a friend who was thinking about getting a puppy for her kids. (thanks, J. Doe)
  • Puppies! No thanks, I'm stuffed. Couldn't eat another bite.
  • But it's wafer thin.
  • i love that the cutest and fluffiest of them all is called 'Crusher'.
  • I defy you to find anything cuter than this:
  • TREMBLE before the power of the VALLHUND PUPPY! Disclaimer: none of these live with me.
  • *burp*
  • Ok, ok. But just one more.
  • Oh my god I must have him. And maybe her. Together, we will teach the world to love.
  • my cats told me i can't have a puppy. damn. the reason my cats are sitting so quietly in that photo is that there is a chipmunk just outside the frame of the shot. they like the chipmunk. they probably want to eat him. i'm often tempted to open the door, but then they wouldn't have a chipmunk to watch. incidentally, "chipmunk" is one of the many words borrowed from the algonquin language, as are "toboggan" and "caucus" and "massachussetts".)
  • My dog is the cutiest in the world. Sorry, folks. Close the contest now. ;)
  • oh god terrapin, you're right!!!
  • Don't eat up all my bandwidth checking out the movies on the site, please ;) (thanks SideDish)
  • SideDish: We appear to be neighbours, BTW. Want to watch my dog when I go out of town? ;)
  • A word of warning. Jack Russell terrierist puppies will eat your couch. and your chair. your shoes, your underwear, your socks, your jeans and your favorite shirt. They will eat their food dish, the moulding around the cupboards, your deck, your drywall, stairway carpeting, your *other* couch, the *other* chair, the door jamb . . they will pee on your mattress and puke couch shards on your newly-washed floors. Goddamn their Ubercuteness!
  • Yeah, at my last apartment the downstairs neighbors got a JR puppy. Unfortunately they weren't willing to give it enough attention to keep its active, devious little brain occupied. It barked. A lot. Not such a huge fan anymore. They're super smart, but woe to those looking for a low-maintenance animal.
  • Terriers are my very favourite breed They're cute and cuddly and easy dogs to feed They'll bring you up whenever you are down Terriers average 20 pounds When I walk around in this terrier town One thing that makes me down Is when people put bandanas on their dogs Terriers are my very favourite breed Cute and cuddly, easy dogs to feed Terriers were there in the 11th century Napoleon had one to prevent misery Terriers are good with the aged Studies show that they prolong old peoples' lives
  • I used to dog-sit a JR. She was older, and had lost an eye to injury (and had also broken her pelvis at one point -- not due to owner neglect, but from being far too curious on a farm). Even so, she was an active little girl, and veeeeery manipulative :) We had great fun together, tho, and she was very cuddly.
  • I am 100% in the cat camp and my little experience with JRs left me shocked at their ricochet-rabbit-like gravity-defying hyper-destructiveness but OH MAH GAWD!!!!! I had no idea the puppies were SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I'm totally going to the animal shelter today to check out the adoption process. Hopefully when we get back from the States we'll be adopting a dog or cat. Unfortunately, #2 isn't a dog person, but I reckon a Jack Russell would turn him around. :)
  • Jack Russells are just cats wearing dog suits.
  • OT: tracicle, if you're looking for a dog that might convince #2, do take a look at any greyhounds that might be up for adoption - they are the most cat-like dogs I know: they sleep most of the time, require relatively little exercise (a couple of 20 min walks a day) and don't have that nasty 'doggy' smell that most other breeds have. Plus they're incredibly affectionate, don't bark much and are usually great with children. And the puppies are sooper-dooper cute.
  • J.R.'s are my favorites!!! Prismatic7, you and I picked the same one! I absolutely must have one now.
  • on the right day, you can have mine. darned loveable dog.
  • Jack Russells are just cats wearing dog suits. More like hyperactive drunken sorority girls. Really smart hyperactive drunken sorority girls.
