  • Very cool. It's a shame the mp3s are not broken up into individual songs. Didn't enjoy the opening as much but NIN vs. Ace of Base was a trip back to 6th grade for me. Love this stuff Related in a minor way would be Smashup Derby (via Waxy), the first ever live smashup cover band.

  • Most mashups I've checked out now are kinda weak. At best, the seams show and/or the fit doesn't seem very natural. The ones I've heard that give me faith in the future of the medium were done by some dude calling himself Dsico. He's done a bunch of them, but my 2 favs are Just Mix Fucking Anything Pink - Lets Get the Party Started vs Dramarama - Anything, Anything The Dramarama guitars put some drive behind Pink and make it a much better song than her original and Love Will Freak Us Missy Eliot - Get Your freak On(?) vs Joy Division-Love Will Tear Us Apart Again This which exists as both a mp3 and a music video mashup
  • I used to feel the same way about mashups until i heard the one i posted. I really wanted to try the AC/DC mashup at the link you posted, but no go.
  • There's also another great one here that I enjoy quite a bit. The LOO & PLACIDO SUPERCHUNK SET is pretty, as the kids say, "dope."
  • i've put a fair bit of effort into collecting bootlegs in recent years (although i've dropped off recently) - i've got a solid collection, though - here's my list - I can burn up a cd-full of mp3's for any monkey that would like one.
