But I WANT to exposed to anus It's monday and I propose for the MP3 selection today we cap our various conversations of bidets and Fenlandish debauchery with some ass oriented MP3s. I was mostly inspired by my recent discovery of The Bonzo Dog Band and their song The Strain.
  • It's not as bad as you think...they were invited to play on Monty Python more than once, I think.
  • Bonzo Dog Band- who could forget Tubas in the Moonlight or Outro featuring " Adolph Hitler on vibes, looking very relaxed"
  • Of course, one can't overlook Screamin' Jay Hawkins' infamous "Constipation Blues." Sadly, I do not have a link to it online. And then there's the fantastic "Do You Take It?" by the Wet Spots, which is perhaps the funniest song I've ever heard on the subject. (I leave which link to select, and the subject matter as an exercise for the student.') Come to think of it, I think it's the only song I've ever heard on the subject.
  • Good old Bonzos. Without whom, Death Cab For Cutie would have completely different silly name.
  • Well of course there was Baby Got Back By Sir Mix-a-Lot
  • Broken Hearts are for Assholes by Frank Zappa.
  • Anything by the Butthole Surfers.
  • "There is splendour in the harshness of bum" - The Hidden Cameras, "Ban Marriage" (Windows Media, I'm afraid) A small amount of searching suggests that the song "Assholes", by the Assmasters, from the album Masters of the Ass, may have something to do with asses. I would be most grateful if anybody could track down an mp3 of this little ditty.
  • Thank you, Fed! I've always been fond of "My Pink Half of the Drainpipe".
  • Dennis Leary is one (flash)
  • No mp3s (although clips available on Amazon) but my research would point towards "Rendezvous With Anus", by Turbonegro, from their album Apocalypse Dudes. Now, I'm not sure, but I suspect it's also possible that anal themes may be explored on other of their albums, Scandinavian Leather (inlcuding "Wipe It 'Til It Bleeds") and Ass Cobras (featuring the charming "Midnight Nambla").
  • Maybe you would enjoy release #41 at Kikapu. (or go directly here) No lyrics, but definitely heiney-themed.
  • "There is splendour in the harshness of bum" I'm so embarrassed. How can one forget the Hidden Cameras, especially considering this subject matter?
  • I immediately thought of the immortal tune "Butt Plugs" by Feo Y Loco. It's available for your listening pleasure from the Feo MP3 page. As you will be able to tell from the titles of the MP3s, these guys never found anything so serious or disgusting that they couldn't mock it.
  • I would think that the Japanese grind band Bathtub Shitter would qualify... I know I have one song by them called "Shit Fly". Can't dig up links yet, I don't think the social-service organization I work for would like it much...
  • and also various tracks by the Mentors.
  • The Feederz' "Jesus Entering From the Rear" is a classic. (Um, probably Not Safe for Christians.)
  • The Feederz' "Jesus Entering From the Rear" is a classic. yes, yes it is. I can't believe I didn't think of it, I was just playing it at band practice the other day.
  • Nostril I would have also accepted Let's Make the Water Turn Black and The Tennessee Enema Bandit. The closest I could come was Zappa reading "The Talking Asshole" part of Naked Lunch. No one mentioned everyone's mom's favorite: Brown Eye Girl
  • Assorcism by the Roofies.
  • Abiezer_Coppe: I love the Surfers! (Of course, I gotta support a cool hometown band. Especially when they're related to Mr. Peppermint.)
  • I have always been disappointed in Frank's reading of that section of Naked Lunch. He stumbles a bit, & doesn't put enough into it (not enough rehearsal - a calumny that no musician could afford to mimic in Frank's bands). Still, a great melding of two wonderful 20th century anti-heroes. And an hilarious excerpt from Naked Lunch.
