Celebrity stapler auction action! Staplers from movie stars, sports celebs, media personalities... is this weird or what?

  • I knew my office was lacking a certain something, and now I know what it is -- Rollergirl's stapler.
  • I would do the Red Swingline from Office Space (and you can get replicas from Thinkgeek.com), but I can't think of any other staplers that would be worth the getting.

  • actually, now that I've had time to run it across my mind a few times "The Gaping Staplers" would be a pretty good band name.
  • The Staples Sisters were known as just that during their younger, more promiscuous days.
  • This is just part of a clever new inititive by "Staplers" (a nationwide Office Supply chain) to get mindshare for their business name. Last night I saw for the first time (I don't watch much TV) a clever Staples add for digital cameras in which a little old granny lines up the family for a snapshot that she takes with a stapler. Wonder who their ad agency is? Pretty clever stuff for pushing the brand.

  • I would do the Red Swingline from Office Space (and you can get replicas from Thinkgeek.com) Or you can get them at pretty much any office supply store, since Swingline started making them in red due to the demand generated by the movie. (The packaging even calls it 'the perfect addition to your office space.") Yes, I bought one.
