• I can't tell if they're serious with the left-wing implications, or being sarcastic to prove a point. Anyway, finally a reason to go back to church!
• I think they've got it all wrong, they need to be 'ratting out' the right-wing churches. The so-called 'left-wing' ones tend to leave their members to their own devices. I guess if you teach someone the lessons of the bible without any 'spin' things tend to work themselves out. Now with right-wing churches, it's someething else entirely different. It seems that what I've heard out of their mouths is directly contradictory to the bible to an extent I wonder if they even use the same book as those who are truly in God's good graces...

• Back on Sunday morning before the elections I was flipping channels and stopped on evangelist Kenneth Copeland... in front of an auditorium of about 1,000 he was telling the audience that they had a mission to go out and vote. In his words, "Your vote. Amen." I actually taped some of it. Interestingly this guy has his own airport near Fort Worth. (Peter, 10:15: "'Yea, you shall go forth,' said Jesus, 'and spread my news of my works and live like kings with two Cessna Citation jets and vast stores of gold.'")
• I should add: To his credit, I didn't see anything about WHO to vote for, though he was making it clear to vote for the Christian cause.
• Our immediate purpose is to fight back against vicious left-wing attempts to silence conservative, Bible believing pastors. Every election year, liberal groups have a field day intimidating and harassing conservative pastors into silence, while liberal pastors bring in their favorite politicians and shamelessly campaign for them with impunity. This unequal treatment needs to stop! Yes, this happens all the time where I live. Damn you, pastors who do this, both of you!
• Why is it that every time I try to spell "hypocrisy" it always comes out sounding like "conservative christianity"?
• yeah... this is extremely confusing. There's nothing wrong with the overall message. If a church (any church) is incorporated as a 501c3 organization, then they absolutely should not be endorsing political candidates. But I am not sure what this particular group is trying to achieve. I am with mk1 on this... more "liberal" churches tend to stay out of political endorsement. This looks like sour grapes to me. Especially since they villify Anthony Romero and Barry Lynn. • Well I would rat out the churches anyway.
• To be honest, this almost got me into a church. If I found a Methodist or Quaker church in my area it would have been the final push I would have needed. Nice try God.

• Maybe they should just fill the churches with rats. A church brimful with rats would be awesome.
• Reporting right-wing relio-political activity to these guys would probably be worth the annoyance factor, alone. Pat Robertson, anyone? How exactly would you tell if someone was endorsing a political view anyway? I mean, if gay marriage is on the ballot and the preachers are all shouting gay is bad! go vote! that would seem to me to be an attempt to influence an election, but I bet these guys don't agree with me.

• You know something, that website is just *screaming* for a counter pointing out the churches that really *do* go out of their way to influence the politics of their parishoners. And those churches (all right wing) really do deserve to have their tax exempt status removed. And pay back taxes. I believe they started taking over non-aligned baptist churches back in the mid to late 1970's... All those back taxes to be paid... If something like that were to happen the right wing ministries would be put out of business overnight. It's unfortunate the bad guys pull all the strings in this country. Who woulda thunk it: America's churches taken over by... Satan!!! What a crock.
• mk1gti, I had exactly the same reaction when I first loaded the page. I just assumed this was in regard to right-wing churches. BTW, here is a church you could rat out for getting involved with politics.
