Bush in 30 Seconds. The winners have been announced.
  • Ah, the sweet stilletto-blade of humor slips in!
  • MoveOn is planning to air one of the ad during the Super bowl.
  • I really liked a lot of these, but the winners (excepting the funniest and best) really aren't the cream of the crop. /bein' ornery
  • It's really difficult to ever pick a "best" of anything. Some are better than others, but I was actually hoping that most of the finalists could be aired over the next few months. A single ad, no matter how powerful, loses its effect after a few viewings. But many ads, all with different points and audiences (some on economy, some on civil rights, some about war; some for the choir, some for a more broad-based audience) would be much more effective. My votes for some of the best (and those to watch if you have low bandwidth) on effectiveness and message would be "IN MY COUNTRY" by Harry Katatsakis, Derek Rittenhouse, Chris Wight of New York, NY (I especially like this one - though it would have been interesting if they had filmed it in such a way that the narrator looked like he might be somewhere in the third world - less clean grass, more homeless - though I know it was in post-Guiliano NY, all they'd have to do was head next door to Connecticut - to make the last line more powerful) "IMAGINE" by Mark Vicente of Los Angeles, CA, "WAKE UP AMERICA" by Lisa M. Rowe of Hollywood, CA, "Leave No Billioniare Behind" by Andrew Boyd (AKA Phil T. Rich) & the B4B team "IF THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION WAS YOUR ROOMMATE 3" by Matt Kresling and Seth Toedter of Los Angeles, CA "POP QUIZ" by Scott Stowell, Susan Barber, Cara Brower, Kate Kittredge of Los Angeles, CA
  • Looks to me like thought and insight gravitates to advertising not politics. I'm all for ousting Bush, just a bit worried that his replacement's strings won't be as obvious.

  • Ah, and see, we haven't had to worry about that. Don't you feel better?
