The industry's first ever concrete related comic strip, Concrete Jungle Comix combines everyday, suburban family life with the singular obsession of a young man that loves concrete. How funny is concrete? Well...

Let me be the first to say: wha?
-
Ah, this reminds me of that balsa wood-centered comic strip from my youth, Boy, That's Some Flimsy Shit. Talk about your kneeslappers!
-
How funny is concrete? Well... funny as Family Circus.

Am I the only one that thinks Family Circus is sometimes subversive? I can't find an example right now, but every few weeks it seems to me Kane is sneaking some distinctly non-kiddish humor in there. Maybe it's not intentional, but hey, never was Satan-as-the-hero-of-Paradise-Lost. Derail: The mom's modern haircut makes her exponentially hotter. Now if only Dennis the Menace's mom would wear hot pants...

from the explanatory PDF: "Concrete Jungle mixes humor with a-matter-of-fact irony meant to appeal to a vast audience." "CJ fits more within context of sophisticated humor strips like Dilbert, and the Far Side more than the universal qualities of the Family Circus and Marmaduke." uh huh. but wait, there's more! also from the PDF: WHO YOUR (sic) DEALING WITH The strip is the creation of Michael Bustin, co-owner of Meld USA, a leading innovator in the concrete industry, and written and illustrated by Daniel Gallant, a known comic book artist since 1985 turned publisher of Alternating Crimes Comics in 1995. Additionally, Bustin is a sales monster who lent his skills to the leading concrete artisan before starting Meld... Their skills combined create a fully marketable package with the energy of relative youth, ready to project Concrete Jungle successfully into a sustainable industry.

I prefer Chadwick's Concrete
