The Periodic Table Table - What, how and most importantly why.

I came across this site while searching for fun things to do with Sodium Hydroxide (don't ask). I realize that this has been posted before on both MeFi and Slashdot but I've submitted it on the off chance that someone hasn't seen it yet (like me!).

  • Thanks Freddy. I'd seen this before, but hadn't read the WHY section. Good stuff. More parents ought to think about this.
  • I like all the radioactive elements with the note that if there was enough that you could see, you'd be dead now.
  • Err sorry those notes on death are here in a display made for a school.
  • Most of what I know of tin, mercury, platinum, iron and gold I learned from the old DC comic, Metal Men.
  • Most of what I know of tungsten I.... ahh, nevermind.
