Who's fighting back in Falluja? Is it.....S-a-a-a-a-a-a-tan? Nov 7. 3:22 entry.

The US forces are really serious in their preparations for the attack on Falluja. A hospital has been razed to the ground in one of the heaviest US air raids in the city. isn't that gorgeous? especially when you hear the voice of a US soldier telling the international media: "The enemy has got a face — it's called Satan. He's in Falluja. We're going to destroy it". pffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

  • well, that'll be nice. i guess things will improve quite rapidly once satan is out of the picture.
  • If Satan is in Falluja, who's in Haditha and Samarra?
  • no, who's on first.
  • Asking questions is un-American. The Secret Service will be at your door soon to make sure you are reeducated.
  • I was watching the BBC news a few days ago, and they had a piece about the impending assault on Fallujah. They interviewed this army dude and he said something like; "They say this war is hard because our enemy is faceless. Well, let me tell you something, it has a face... [dramatic pause]... and that face is Satan's." It was at that point when I ran out of the room screaming.
  • As spokesperson for The Dark Prince, I'd like to confirm that Satan is indeed in Falluja but only as an observer. Jesus, however, cannot seem to stop meddling in local affairs.
  • I'd guess that most of the US military in the Middle East followed with curiosity the official reaction to Gen. William Boykin's statements last year that the US is engaged in a war against Satan. That there was no substantial repudiation of Boykin's claims seems to have given tacit permission to certain American soldiers there to not only hold, but voice these views. Just great.
  • Can you say Crusade?
  • I think you may have lost your country. You may be forced to decide between freedom and real estate. My parents, though seriously disturbed in many ways, did one thing for which I am forever grateful; they left the US because of Viet Nam. The day Roe VS Wade is overturned it's all over. If you have children, or plan to, you need to think about what kind of life they will have and what kind of person they are likely to become in a religion-dominated country where your pregnant teenage daughter or gay son are seen as the devil's work.
  • I think you may have lost your country. You may be forced to decide between freedom and real estate. So much for working with the other side.
  • Forced to decide between freedom and real estate. That may say it all.
  • You work with the other side as long as it seems to be making a difference. If you are not a parent, perhaps you'll keep working even when it no longer seems to make any difference at all. As a parent, however, you are making decisions now that will shape the identity of your children. To disregard that reality in favour of "making a point" is your decision to make, but should be seen for what it is.
  • These US soldiers don't know their Bible, and, which is more shocking, the US Army isn't interested in teaching them. If the Devil is involved, the warfare is spiritual. If it's spiritual warfare, the Bible tells them how to fight: 1 Corinthians 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) That being the case, the soldiers should throw down their arms and march around the city seven times, like Joshua did at Jericho. Or they should meet the enemy army with singing and dancing, like Jehoshaphat did. That's the only way to meet a spiritual enemy and prevail.
  • I find it interesting, Alex Reynolds, that you chose to address views I expressed in another thread here, out of context, rather than respond to what I asked in the other thread.
  • On second thought, I'll drop it. I'm in a shitty mood, and this isn't the place for it. I'm backing away from the keyboard.
  • But do you see my point, now?
  • Follow up to my earlier comment. Here is an online version of the report I saw.
"Everyone was so friendly when we got to Iraq," said one 19-year-old, slightly bewildered. "I just don't know what happened."
    Gee, I wonder.
  • Uh...no? How does me backing off from a potential flamefest translate into me suddenly seeing your point? If your point is that alienating possible future allies is a winning strategy 5 days after the election and expecting others to hop to it and answer the hard questions while you dance around mine, I will never get your point. I suggest we agree to disagree here.
  • I think you may have lost your country. You may be forced to decide between freedom and real estate. It's the godddam Australian election all over again. We chose real estate, of course.
  • *enjoys owning real estate*
  • I suggest we agree to disagree here. I'm not sure we're in disagreement, but fair enough.
  • To hell with the lot of them.
  • I like the idea that Satan can team up with a flesh-and-blood enemy. It implies that you can beat Satan WITH BULLETS! And bombs! Sword of truth, move over - we need a higher calibre of satan-killer! Curses! Foiled again! I never guessed that their weapons would be so strong! I mean, I waged war on God, but that was nothing compared to these MOABs and mortars! Curse those meddling Americans! I'll get them next time!
  • Whos side is Halliburton on?
  • Whos side is Halliburton on? They're playing devil's advocate, but on our side. It's complicated.
  • Wait...I thought we were the Great Satan.
  • Our satan can beat up their satan.
  • My father called me "child of satan" when I was in college. When asked if that meant he was satan, he'd shake his head and point at my mum.
  • To hell with the lot of them. There was a time when that comment would have irked me. Not today. I'm pretty well pissed at both sides of the divide in my country.
