American Coastopia.
From the site: "Ladies and gentlemen, you needn't fret anymore. We have decided that we can't live in the United States anymore, because so many of you in the "heartland" are so full of shit. We were all going to move to various other countries, but then we thought - why should WE move?"
(This is my first FPP, and I didn't see it anywhere else on MoFi. Please don't kill me.)
-
A similar conception: Cascadia.
-
We are not that divided.
-
There's always Ecotopia.
-
United States of Canada.

Since their plan includes taking Chapel Hill and Durham with them, it stands to reason that we'll need a well-armed militia and fortifications (such as a great wall, like the one Jesse Helms suggested building around UNC).
-
Go on! Do it! You'd have most of us here in Europe on your side - probably China, too, from what I hear.
-
I'd like to see shawnj's map by precinct. By state, it looks even, but by county I suspect you'd see a bright blue ring around major cities, and a trail of blue along the coasts. We are that divided - it's just not into states.
-
The United States of Canada needs to get Alaska on it's side. Afterall Alaskans are practically communists (as close as Albertans anyways) what with the oil checks from the State. And that way USC avoids a potential two front war with Jesusland.

You mean like this one, yentruoc? The problem with looking at the color of the majority is that it ignores that there is a minority everywhere.
-
yentruoc: go to CNN's electon 2004 page and click on a state to see the map by county. You can then click on counties to see the numbers per precinct. I've only tried it with my state and county, so YMMV.

Here's a color-graded county map.
