The Death Page. Laurence Sterne's 1760 novel Tristram Shandy broke new ground in a number of ways, notably by using a page of solid black to indicate the death of Yorick. Posted today for no particular reason.

Any connection to preliminary election results is entirely imaginary and offendingly presumptuous.

  • I <3 Tristram Shandy. That's some funny shit. Maybe I should re-read that to pull me out of my funk and show me that people were just as ridiculous in the past as they are now, and things did get better.
  • Read all of Sterne, o readers. Because it's all good.
  • no connection at all
  • i feel a connection
  • Writing, when properly managed, (as you may be sure I think mine is) is but a different name for conversation. -- Laurence Sterne
