• i like it when these idiots mix up simple words like expound/expand. this was a last-minute attempt from the swiftboat crowd to sling further vietnam-era mud at kerry, possibly something they'd been holding in reserve.
• actually, I think by "highest authorites" he means common sense. Try plugging it into this phrase: I certainly hope the "highest authorities" know what they are doing... I certainly hope common sense knows what it's doing...
• She may have been asked by the "highest authorities" (Rovian? sub-Rovian?) to stand down, but the march announcement remains on the front page formatted in large, bold screaming red. I wonder how many of her pajama-clad fellow travelers will actually show up at the Naval Archives this afternoon.
• roryk, he's using 'expound' correctly.
• Ack. And I am not using 'he' correctly. Proving, with roryk, the rule that every spelling or grammar correction on the net must itself contain a spelling or grammar error.

• roryk, he's using 'expound' correctly. um, okay. my bad. in my defense, i've always understood expound in the sense of (merriam-webster): 1 a : to set forth : STATE b : to defend with argument on the question of the highest authorities, she can only mean god surely? in which case, she's basically saying that the voice in her head told her not to hold the rally...
• I could see the Rovetron telling these guys to stand down, simply because they seem like an uncontrolled element. Loose cannons that could bump the infostream off-message. Reading a bit of that site, I picked up quite a bit of anger. Get that expressed to the media, and you could see a portrait of hostile wackos screaming for Kerry's head on the evening news. Not so appealing to those undecideds, and distracts from the current theme of "OBL loves Kerry."
• I visited the site and didn't see anything significant there. As far as I could see, just more smoke and mirrors nonsense. Nothing to see here, move along . . .
• Actually don't visit the site. Look, I'm waaay for free speech, but then when idiots like this person get their sites posted on the front page of something as wildly popular as mofi, then it gives credence to their stupidity. They can claim they've got xxxxxxx visitors! "Wow, look how popular we are!" Psycho assholes. Ignore 'em and hope they go away.
• Holy shit! I just learned that the entirety of John Kerry's career in public office has been engineered and supported by Vietnamese communists! It all makes sense, John Kerry has been in the US Senate for over 20 years now, and in that time Vietnam has gone from an agrarian post-colonial country to a major player in world shoe manufacturing. Imagine what might happen if John Kerry were elected POTUS! Well, I'll show those pinkos! I'm voting for Nader!
• Psycho assholes. Ignore 'em and hope they go away. i have to keep reminding myself of this. it's too fascinating to watch these nutjobs. i sometimes have mould growing on the soil around my houseplants. to kill it off, i starve it of light using sand or pebbles or dead leaves.
