Dylan Thomas's
Ninetieth Birthday
Poem in October was written on the occasion of his 30th birthday and Wood_s_lot currently has a link to some wonderful recordings of Thomas reading his work.

many thanks, islander! any reason to remember and read Dylan Thomas is a good one.
-
Today is also me Mum's birthday. John Cleese's too.
-
Yeats' poetry changed so much as he grew older. A pity one can only specualate what Thomas, had he lived longer, might have accomplished.
-
Has there not been a movie made about his life yet? If a poet's life could draw a movie crowd, it would be his.
