Dave's site is a disappointment. Any outrageous claim is acceptable. Dave ought to at least require some attribution to a web site or news article or something. My candidate is that the NASD Average will drop 75 percent between 2000 and 2003. I'm sure I can find some source in 2000 that spoke that lie. The best lie Dave offers is that the page was last updated on December 19, 2009.

Real lies might be nice, but there are some pretty good outrageous claims there. In 1994 Xodyx, a Silicon Valley start-up company, developed an e-mail server that could deliver messages up to 36 hours before they were sent. The temporal informational paradoxes the device created, however, caused the founding of the company to unhappen in 1993, thus precluding the invention of the device itself a year later. The disappearance of the Xodyx device from space-time briefly caused the NASDAQ stock index to sink to a negative number.
