Photography contest.
Don't quite know what's going on here (it being in Chinese and all) but there are some fine looking pictures. And some shockers.
Hang on, China has a Stargate! Some NSFW if you click around.

Photoshop contest?

"Looking" #2 and #3 are amazing. What's the deal with "pictures" #2? It looks like a painting, but some of those trees look pretty photorealistic, and this is, after all, a photo contest. But that can't be real...? Also, don't tease. Where are the NSFW ones?

No, it's a real shot of terraced rice paddies. Colour balances have been altered, but that's how they look. Amazing, isn't it!

Unreal? colours. exppii

Also, what's p.29 #1? Looks kinda photoshopped (maybe a more seasoned photographer could say how that could be done?) I like the industrial pictures. p.18 #1 is one hell of a picture-- almost makes me suspect it's stuffed. There are some definite photoshop-jobs in here. Too bad, now I wonder whether to believe some of the more outlandish pictures. p.79: pollution? That's no color for water to be, I think. Too many flowers in general, but p.55 I like. p.93 is good. No idea what 97 is-- oil? I suppose these were taken by the top 1% of China's population, income-wise...? An interesting collection in any case.

p.79: pollution? That's no color for water to be, I think. Actually, it is natural. It's a mountain lake...somewhere. If I remember correctly, there are mineral deposits in the water that create the color. I have some friends who've been there. I will get more info about it and post it here. On a side note, this is my favorite pic. The little boy pointing at Mr. FancyPantsDancing cracks me up.

I like no. 3 on this page. (One of tellurian's picks.) I love that whole cormorants on the Yellow River thing.

Yes, the water's really that color. My mom went to Jiu Zai Gou in Yunnan, and took some pictures. They came out that color too! The water there is very good for tea, I hear... *sigh*

My teenage friend tells me that it's common to see kids in pajamas in her school. Although I'm sure they're not as nice as the Victorian-bloomer-style ones on the lady foutrth from bottom.
