Some rather excellent masks
  • These disturb me greatly.
  • About 12 years ago, my sister got my brother and I the frog masks on that site from a shop in New Orleans. They are pretty neat. We had fun croaking and hopping around.
  • Great! They have a Dubya mask! sorry, I couldn't resist
  • Why is the duck green? Because it was a lucky sock?
  • I'm disturbed. Butts up nicely against Nostril's mirror post.
  • > Why is the duck green? Because lots of ducks have green heads. Check out a mallard some time. :)
  • Hypno-Cow! "We have been using the hypnotic syrum produced in our udders to lull the masses of the world for quite some time now. Very soon, our puppets will be cast aside and the humans will understand just who has been domesticated. But now that you know this, I'm afraid I can't let you leave this barn."
  • Now where have I seen this expression before...?
  • I happen to know that these are really masks and not actual animal heads, so you are all stupid and wrong to be disturbed or frightened by them.
  • Also, I am smarter than you. Good day.
  • exppii, reminds me of that class of ceramic objects known as Moo-cow Creamers.
  • It is true. These are some rather excellent masks.
  • exppii, I'm guessin' animal porn?
  • one sock (the sock I have) is celadon, the other sock (the one that wandered on its own to france or paradise) and is no longer to be seen, is duck green
  • dng: rather excellent is a perfect description - they're wonderful. My only regret was that I would have never been allow to wear one as a kid, because my mother thought that masks didn't allow enough visibility to be safe. (Then I found the page of adult masks :) I was wondering though - some of these are so detailed that, after this much work, it might be just worth it to get a full size head (such as the donkey - Midsummer flashbacks from that one). But that couldn't be mass produced as easily.

  • I want these for my kitchen. They have a very classic 50's children's book illustration feel. The cat is so very Puss n Boots.
