Possible Homer Sexual The creators of the Simpsons set off a flurry of speculation when they announced that one of the denizens of Springfield would be coming out of the closet. 365Gay thinks they know who it is, and it isn’t Smithers . [NSFPeople who don't like gay stuff]

I am posting this in honor of the U.S. House of Representatives rejection of a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage .

  • I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.
  • Nostrildamus, I realize this topic was discussed here before (note my "flurry of speculation" link), but the point of my post was the "scoop". I apologize if that was unclear or if you consider that info not worthy of its own FPP.
  • homer sexual. heh. but what does her twin say about all this?
  • Not to sound like an ass, but wouldn't that have been better as a comment on the original thread, instead of making another thread about it?
  • ...wouldn't that have been better as a comment on the original thread, instead of making another thread about it? Yes, probably, but I'm an attention whore. There, I said it. Now I can grow. I think I may be a drunk attention whore by this point, but I'll save that for another post...
  • I have about a 3 day running memory of FPPs (from all the sites I read), so I don't mind the occasional "reminder/follow up" FPP. And Smithers is about as closeted as Elton John .
  • "[NSFPeople who don't like gay stuff]" Oh, do tell. Will we see similar modifiers for links to religious sites, sites about obesity, the handicapped, etc.? [NSFPeople who don't like protecting bigots from their silly fears.]
  • I took it as silliness. Perhaps even satire?
  • coppermac, I put the NSF tag on there because one of the links I linked to featured ads for gay DVDs and lesbian personals. I personally, as a gay man (or homer sexual), have no problem with those ads. I just figured some people might or that some people might not be wanting to look at that site while at work, even though its not technically NSFW. It was an attempt to address the issue, and, admittedly, a poor one. I think I am just going to stop defending this malformed post now. I should have just gone with my first instinct and posted this really funny map of Florida I got in an email. You see, it shows the counties that voted for Bush in 2000...
  • I think NSFW is probably the only content-advisory tag that I grudgingly support. There is no reason at all to tag anything else. P.S. Simpsons sucks and has sucked for the last five-six years. This one might conceivably be a funny episode if the gay character self-referentially jumps a gay shark.
  • Don't forget NSFWDTDB. That's an important one.
  • Hmmm...you're right, NickD. Those dead baby links are dangerous. Perhaps we need some sort of visual warning system similar to this one.
