KINGDA KA: The Rollercoaster of tomorrow!...or next spring...OH! this ride is so fast it'll make you feel weightless... that is, of course, if you manage to not have a massive heart attack after climbing 456' at 130MPH, and it's subsequent drop... I think this borders on sado-masochism... and I liiiiiiiike it! and it's in MY state! yay! (finally something good about NJ)
  • Top Thrill Dragster comes pretty close in terms of speed and height, so I figured I'd post the link. They've got videos, but surprisingly they're boring static shots from the ground.
  • Warrior, there have always been good things about nj, come on! I will have to make a trip back to the old homestate to try out that coaster!!
  • Wow, I didn't know Great Adventure was the largest regional theme park in the world. I haven't been there since high school.
  • I don't understand why they don't just shoot people out of cannons or something. It would all be so much easier.
  • Medusa that site is the shait!
  • I had the pleasure of riding the Steel Dragon a few years back when I was in Japan. As of 2000 it was the highest/longest/fastest coaster in the world. In the first drop the reptillian part of you brain is convinced that it is going to die when you accelerate in a drop from about 7kph to 150 kph (in 3 seconds) straight down at the earth. When you don't die it is possibly one of the most glorious feelings ever. I hope I get to ride the Kingda Ka to have that thrill again some day.
