Living like a caveman.
I'm a big fan of experimental/unusual housing so this site really caught my eye. All in the heart of convenient Cappodocia, no less. And check out those prices! I know where I'm going for retirement.
-
Cappadocia is in Turkey, BTW.
-
There are also many cave homes in Guadix, Spain.
-
I'd be wary. Some of those cave houses look like fixer-uppers.

Spent an absolutely fantastic weekend one hot hot weekend in July in a cave-hotel in Goreme. Wonderful meals on the terrace, music drifting up from the cafe several streets below, a full moon over the white cliffs, beautiful flowers in pots outside the door, vibrant colored ceramics and intricate rugs displayed in shops, chatting with the locals over raki in the evening--it was all perfect--but the best part was the lovely, austere, cool cool cool, cave room. In order to share my fantastic experience, I took a good friend to Capadoccia when she came to visit Turkey in November. No heat. We froze our asses off.
