Curious George: Monday Monkey MP3 Musical Musings: Here's a song that's all about sex. (via fluxblog) Know any others? Not a tune about wanting it, or wanting it with somebody else for a change, or wishing that your partner wasn't having it with somebody else, or remembering it, or wishing you hadn't done it, but just about it?

  • An oldie but a goodie (sorry, I don't have a link to the song) is Sex (I'm a...) by Berlin.
  • My favorite ever is "Doin It" by LL Cool J. Representative NSFW lyrics: We get it To The Break of Dawn, damn you're large/ How a big girl like it Daddy?/Nice and hard/ Safe sexin it, flexin it, gettin that affectionate/ Chewin it, oohin it, all while we're doin it.

  • Sparks -All you ever think about is SEX. You can hear it on thier website in "sparks media" -launch video box .
  • Well, I tried it just once and found it all right for kicks. But now I've found out that it's a habit that sticks.
  • Add N to (X)'s Plug me in. Not much in the way of lyrics... but it's got the beat. (NSFW video with plenty plastic toys. Beware.) Hey thomcat - Sparks' 'Cool Places' clip on that link triggered a flashback that almost made me jump out the window. Good luck I'm in a first floor.
  • Way back in the 1950s, an R&B song called "Work With Me Annie" showed up on the radio. The link describes how it shocked/excited all us virginal, white teenagers (about a third of the way down.) I'm sure it would sound pretty dated now, but at the time it was reallly somethin'. It was followed up by one called "Annie Had a Baby (Can't Work No More)." Both were soon banned. I'm still looking for samples or lyrics.

  • The knowledge of old-school hip-hop on display here is impressive an' all, but really, you'd have a much easier time with the recent stuff. Take Ludacris. Has any single he's released since "Southern Hospitality" not been entirely about sex?

  • The Scrotum Song by the Asylum Street Spankers has some snippets of older songs about doing the deed. Examples: "If it don't fit, don't force it/'Cause you'll make your mama mad." "I'm a one-hour mama/So no one-minute papas/Ain't the kind of man for me."
  • Good call on Peel Me a Grape, Jeff, but I don't think Diana Krall can hold a candle to a few of the women who have performed it (Blossom Dearie in particular). Clarence Carter's Back Door Santa is probably the lewdest Christmas song around. I still remember the look on my son's face when he first figured out the double entendre. Cole Porter (and many other people) wrote a lot of songs which were clean enough for public performance (back when that was an expectation), and I've Got You Under My Skin was one of the best. Dinah Washington does a great version of it, and Neneh Cherry updates it quite well on Red Hot and Blue, one of the many cds released by the Red Hot organization fundraising for AIDS groups. Love For Sale, which is quite obviously about prostitution, is also a Porter classic. Oh, and if, like me, you love jazz and sex, this nonsense is good for a laugh.
