Ghetto Fabulous Wedding
I'm not one to judge since I haven't even ordered my wedding photos 5 years after the fact. Wait a minute, I AM one to judge. This wedding is hilarous!

see also here. Different article, same wedding.
-
On a completely unrelated topic, where the hell is pete_best? I miss him.
-
that is the most hilarious things I've ever seen... this is true, I use to work at a catering thing in my hometown, which is quite ghetto, the people that booked there (be it black, hispanic, white or even hindu) were so fucking cheap...it was scary! when dinner time came, it was like nobody had ever seen food before... it was nasty.
-
Does "ghetto" mean something different now than it used to? Are you guys using it to mean some kind of particular style or something? Oh, God, I'm so old and out of touch. Cause, you know, it used to mean the poor area of town, and if people are laughing at poor people for being cheap, that seems a bit cruel. Of course they're cheap. They don't have any money.
-
I don't know about this post. Making fun of people because they're different from you is a sign of closed-mindedness and immaturity. And making fun of people who are "cheap" because they have less money than you is despicable in my book. (Unless you're doing satire that makes a social point, a la Dave Chapelle.) I'd put money on the guy who wrote this being a real dick. The guy who blocks out the corner of one photo, he calls an "asshole." Jesus, man! It's a wedding! People move around! They have fun! They socialize! Accomodating the wedding photographer is not a priority for them! This dude should have just posted the photos. Then we could have seen whatever WE saw in them, be it outrageousness or people having a good time by the dictates of their culture or some combination of the two. His commentary borders on the hateful, though, and that no one recognizes that is pathetic. Just wanted to add another perspective....
-
He's an ass, and a bad photographer. I wouldn't have paid him anything upon seeing what he produced, and I'm not comparing him to professionals - I'm just thinking of snapshots done by people with a good eye. As for this write up - it's just nasty, mean and nasty. I'm going back to the first page, where it was all about love and people having fun with their family. It warms me all up, and makes me want to have a chocolate wedding cake with red icing - yum! (red things always taste better - everyone knows that).
-
The commentary isn't just nasty, it's pretty racist, too. Whoever wrote this is the asshole. I never commented on the other thread, but I do think the wedding was a bit...over-exuberant, but nothing to cry about. Just not to my taste. And certainly nothing that required me to comment on the "blackness" of the participants and the size of one of the relatives, etc.
-
Amen jb. :) *wanders off to find chocolate cake*
-
1D?nything that the guy in today's post didn't take the pictures at all, but just snagged them off The Knot so he could be all nasty about them. It was fun to see them in August, but this dude just presents them in an eeeevil manner. YMMV, of course.
-
Oopy. I mean..."I'd bet anything..." Sorry.
-
Yeah, the commentary pretty much made me cringe. I couldn't read all of it. What a jerk.
-
It appears from the forums on ehacked.com that the story about the dude writing the commentary also being the photographer is a complete fabrication. In other words, [THIS IS SHIT]
-
just not funny. Mildy bad taste in clothing, lame made-up sounding commentary.
