A geek's dream wedding.
I'm so conflicted... is this completely appalling, or totally rad?
The location in particular is wonderful in its incongruence; I'm assuming that the Mos Eisley Cantina wasn't available.
-
I'd feel weird thinking that in some future plutocracy, Fox could legally seize my wedding photos.
-
A little bit of both
-
Although I'm not a Starwars fan this wedding rules. This is good OMG, the empire has captured a droid! Beware of Darth Claus Hey, stormtroopers have fun too. "In a sec. I'm just filling a report."
-
Incongruity (and nice costumes) make for striking wedding photos in this case. But with Fairyland's focus on beloved children's stories (admittedly of the literature and not film variety), maybe this theme wedding is not so incompatible with its setting. Epaulets are exciting.
-
in a word...appalling & only more so because I live in oakland & can't shake the idea that I probably know these people...
-
Overall, I'll give it a "kind of cool, in a weird way." Avoids being terminally sad because the costumes are actually well-made and the principles look good in them (nothing brings this sort of idea down quicker than people who don't even remotely look the part in shoddy garb). Of course, this is respecting the sanctity of marriage, not like those goddamn queers in their tuxedos 8-/
-
Heh, neat. Monkeyfilter: Not like those goddamn queers in their tuxedos.
-
Man, I do wish I could have seen the ring bearer in action. That thing looked nifty. To each their own, I guess ;)
-
Awww... A tender moment. Definitely not something you see in a Star Wars movie.
-
I don't think it was a Star Wars wedding - the bride and groom, and other people are wearing more fairytale (and carnivalish) costumes. Perhaps just a group of friends doing theme costumes for a wedding where everyone seems to be in costume. But which picture has the ring bearer?
-
PS - I really like the toy soldier salute.
-
if anyone is uncertain as to WHY this wedding is NOT appalling or sad, it is because those stormtrooper suits are HOT. sorry mom, but they beat the pants off tuxxes.
-
Rad. So rad.
-
Stormtroopers, two popes and a mariachi band. Best. Wedding. EVER.
-
I belive this counts as totaly rad.
-
rogerd - on the "terminally sad because principles don't look good in costume" thing - you mean, sorta like this guy? ha.
-
You seem to have grasped my point and been cut by it, CLF. As is anyone who has seen Tron-boy.
-
It is pretty cool, but doesn't anyone think it would a little creepy to marry Darth Vader? I bet he can't even do the voice right...
