Lego logic gates are boolean logic implemented in mechanical form using Lego. This site shows NOT, OR, NOR, AND, and NAND gates, and shows the implementation of a Flip-Flop and clocked logic. Conceivably, these could be combined to make full adders and even CPUs.
  • Maybe these can help the Kerry campaign.
  • This looks excellent. I'll have to try these out later.
  • Yeah, but add a few more gates and it wouldn't be long before you had to push reeeealy hard on those input rods....
  • This is a fantastic post. I'm furling that to show my Discrete Math professor
  • Now I wish that I didn't leave all my lego on the other side of the country.
  • Cool, but there is no mechanism for power delivery. Anything over a few gates would need power to overcome friction.
  • I'm gonna buy a couple of square miles of land and build an 8088 out of these things.
  • I'm gonna buy a couple of square miles of land and build an 8088 out of these things. Meeh. I would use that land to build a real life celular automata or Brian's brain powered by wind turbines made with Lego too. Then I would make the little lego-made, life-like, pseudo-objects worship me like a God...
