Ukes of Hazzard **Warning** will be unable to remove from head for days and days. via The Schmoopdeck
  • Ukuleles, homosexuality, irony... and yet somehow it's not the Magnetic Fields. Confusing.
  • It's - just - so - painful
  • That's really weird. I just heard this on my college radio (and googled it to find out what it was) this afternoon.
  • Cute. Sent it to all my sexually ambigious friends.
  • That might actually be the worst thing I have ever heard. I'm not sure which of the girls has a more unpleasant voice. I do like ukuleles, though.
  • Holy jumped-up cheese-eatin' Jesus, that was horrible! Where's my pitchfork? Where's my torch?
  • Oh. Those kind of ukes
  • From the same site: Plastic Hut. (Big ol' QuickTime thingy)
  • Holy $(*&--that is an AWESOME video. Poking around the website, I see the directer made it for under $2000 and created the stunning-looking sets by taking digital still photos and then animating them on his computer. As an aspiring director myself, I find this both infuriating (because his short films look SO much better than anything I've done) and inspiring (because he made them without using any resources I couldn't get my hands on.) I now realize I can be much more ambitious in my micro-budget filmmaking. Fantastic link--thanks, Argh.
  • Sorry, I should have mentioned that the link on "aspiring director myself" is a self-link (although I suppose the word "myself" might have been a clue.) If you're interested, click through and then click on "View sample of work" for a sample of my own (nowhere-near-as-impressive-as-"Gay Boyfriend") musical directing. I did a very little digital post-production work, but "Gay Boyfriend" has really opened my eyes about just how much can be done.
  • They showed part of this at the Apple Design Awards at WWDC this year, though it didn't win an award. The crowd response was awesome.
