  • Good god, that page is terribly designed. Sorry to stop the laugh-at-the-dork fun, but... This is the anime-dork version of people who dress up as Vulcans for sci-fi conventions. Nothing more. They spend insane amounts of time and money on their clothes, and in my opinion, several have impressive sewing/propmaking skills. Yeah, you can laugh at the geeks and all, but in my opinion some of them do a damn fine job with their bizarre li'l hobby. These are the two main sites I know of offhand. There IS cosplay porn in Japan, but these are hobbyists. Different thing. (wow, I didn't get defensive. amazing. I don't look like an anime character, so I can't do this, but I make costumes for others as a hobby. Sewing normal clothes gets boring...)
  • The biggest difference between the Vulcans and the anime geeks being that the anime geeks average 17 years old, and actually look somewhat like the characters. (Though it is very likely that these photographs have a sample bias.) /so says the Vulcan geek But definately some impressive costuming. Not so fond of the strips of fur/leather as main costume, but others are very good.
