Brilliant.

He'd better have God ready when I get there in January.

amen. this is great.

Keats has developed a novel method of genetic engineering that may soon allow scientists to place God on the tree of life alongside every other species, including slime molds, fungi, and humans. Finally, the chain of evolution explained clearly! god -> slime molds -> fungi -> humans.

Dammit! No way to San Fransisco...(Hmm, maybe if I pray hard enough) Great find, Argh!!

And here I thought GOD was a fleet of trucks I used to see when I lived in New Jersey!

Jonathon Keats Leads First Worldwide Effort to Reconcile Science and Religion in the 21st Century Refreshments to be served

"While Keats has never before undertaken scientific research of any sort ..." Awesome. Thanks Argh.

This living hand, once warm and capable... Started out as blue-green goo. God is an algae, have mercy on us every one!

God is a concept, by which we measure our pain. I'll sing it again . . .

Wow. This is great. I am a genetics student here in San Francisco, and I am immediately sending this to everyone I work with. I love non-scientists doing science. And religious science is even better.
-
And I don't see how this is going to bring science and religion any closer. I don't think that the people who have a problem with humas evolving from monkeys are going to like God evolving from fruit flies any better.
-
I for one welcome our new slime-mold-derived fruit fly overLord.
