Hamlet: The Text Adventure Help Hamlet avenge his father's death! Encounter characters from other Shakespearean plays for no good reason! Use the hints because some parts are impossibly hard! All this in amazing, futuristic text-based game play!

I was linked to this ages ago, and it remains one of my favourite things on the internet. Then again, I am a huge Shakespeare 'ho, so, ymmv.

  • Yeah Othello sliced me up too -- and when I went to load the game it assured me had been saved, I was told there were no saved cookies. WTF?
  • It won't let me have sex with Ophelia.
  • I made it to 39% before I found out that while it won't let you kill Horatio, Ophelia, Claudius, Gertrude, Rosencrantz, Guildenstern, Banquo, Macbeth, the ghost, the horse, the gravedigger, or the skull, it will let you kill yourself.
  • jononymous - hah, that was priceless. (Although you can kill some of them, just later in the game.) scartol - the cookies used to work, I'm not sure why they don't anymore. Sorry. :(
