Atom Bombs in Japan Let us NOT repeat this history?

  • Wow, very interesting link, thanks very much. The photographs are chilling. I can't even begin to imagine the horror and terror of what happened there. As you say, we should all remind ourselves that something like that should never happen again.
  • SHOULD never happen again, while the US government creates new nukes because of the threat of supposed rougue nations.
  • Those first-strike nukes won't be used except defensively, though. I feel safer already.
  • Sometimes, you wish the world was a daycare, and you were the teacher. "Hey, America! Put that down, right now! I don't care if he threatened to slap you, you don't throw rocks in this class. Go to the corner, right now." There is no justification for nuclear weapons. They exist solely to create massive destruction that continues poison the place for decades after being bombed. They cannot be accurate, they always take massive collatoral damage, and the sheer devastation of their deployment can only have one aim: to demoralise. They are pure state terrorism.
