probably not. 4 blogging geeks are riding across the US on a Segway (with iPods) ... they're invoking the American Dream, but The Register and its readers are unimpressed.

The Register adopts the "cool" attitude toward most things. They're kind of The Fonz of the IT world. And like The Fonz, they, too, have jumped the shark. Which is not to say that any transcontinental stunts involving a Seqway and an iPod, are not, indeed, lame ... Just saying, El Reg jumped the shark a long time ago.

Huh? Well, that wasn't funny. Using a Segway to cross the US is pretty pointless, but the article isn't exactly hilarious satire. 4 rich 20somthing hipsters with nothing better to do think they're Jack Kerouac. Not exactly news.
