. : The Living Room Candidate : . The American Museum of the Moving Image has an interesting online exhibit of 250 or so campaign commercials from 1952 (Ike had the first) to 2004. [You may view them at multiple resolutions in either Real or WMA format]
  • Oh, and I forgot to add, there is an interesting Fresh Air interview with one of the curators, David Schwartz here [Again with the Real]
  • I heard about this on NPR the other day while driving and wanted to remember it and of course forgot. Thanks for the post Shotsy.
  • This is a really great site. It's all here: Nixon railing against corruption (when he was running for VP with Ike); Jackie O stumping for JFK; the LBJ ad featuring the little girl picking the petals off a daisy that morphs into an A-bomb explosion; Willie Horton and Dukakis in the tank; Ross Perot, straight shooter; Kerry windsurfing; and on and on and on. Great stuff.
