  • Wow! That's fascinating. They almost seem like something between plants and animals. I wonder whether they went back to a root nourishment structure or have existed out there for millenia just as they are. I hope to hear more about them.

I heard it on, um, Sciendce Friday or someplace and I immediately imagined a scene from an old Moebius comic book when I heard the words, "the ribs were covered with the tendrils of these pink worms, sticking out from inside the bone."
  • They use the roots to infiltrate the bones of dead whales Howdy! I initially tought they attacked while the whale was alive. I feared they would start attacking divers. I don't care what they do with my dead rotting carcass.
