Curious George: RSS
Ehrm, am I the only one who reads MonkeyFilter through an RSS reader? I often get strange errors in the RSS feed. Wrong linkage, or just malformed posts.
Take for example the html from the RSS of the previous post:
Kennewick Man
of Kennewick Man than with American Indians) is finally over, but the scientists face a new wrangle: access to the remains.
So there is obviously a lot of text missing there... I don't see these bugs with the MetaFilter RSS while they both use MetaPhilter... Is it the RSS that's at fault or is it my RSS reader (NetNewsWire 1.09b for Mac OS X)?

At work, I use Yahoo's RSS feed. Works pretty good, except for the delay (was told it only updates every hour or so).

I am using NNW Lite for OS X, and if there's an initial link (the URL and URL Description fields from the Post link above), those will not show up in the body of RSS post. Other than that, it works fine for me, though I do hope that gets fixed at some point.

I use Sage on Firefox and haven't had any issues with formatting, etc. I suspect that it's your reader. I just realized that I use it on just about every other site except monkeyfilter and metafilter. There's something special about this place, it's so lavendery. On a side note, I found this list of thousands of RSS feed URLs today.

I've installed Sage to have a proper look at the MoFi rss. I know there are some issues with it, but I know next to nothing about RSS and rarely even look at them so I'll play around with it and see if I see the same problems as you, mare.

That would be nice, tracicle! Sandspider's explanation is probably better than mine.
