• The birthday present thing is about to lift off, and it's from all of us. But is there anyone out there that didn't follow that thread who would like to send our fearless leader a birthday postcard? The birthday thread contributors agreed that if she got 1300 or so postcards, it would be really cool And, the cost is a nit. Best thing would be to send her one from where you live, with your user name and "appropriate" message. Or, a completely inappropriate message. If you'd like to do that, I can send you her address. My email address is in my profile.

• *pops in* Also, if anyone wants to send her a postcard, but is afraid it won't get to her in time, or really can't get out to find a card, write to me in the next four days. I'll send a card with your message and nick. Postage is dirt-cheap here, so don't worry about the cost. If you like, you can specify what kind of postcard (I'm looking for Singapore touristy cards, but we get all kinds here, so tell me if you want monkeys/kittens/dogs/stuffed toys/something naughty). You have until the 17th! I'll be posting out cards by then! *pops out*
• Thought I'd revive this thread since my guess is that somewhere around 30 Monkeys will send cards, probably less. It's a nice way of saying "thanks" for your playground, and doesn't take a big investment in time or money. (I sent her a picture of a Barbary Ape I took on Gibraltar several years ago, so my only cost was postage. The ape looks just like me.)
