  • This is nice, since I am staying in this evening and will not be attending any firework displays. A virtual one will do, thanks :)
  • Celebrate! those colourful blossoms that hang in the sky, as whoosh bang crack thumping exhoes in the night, and maybe there's a fistful of sparklers for the wee ones -- thermos jugs of lemonade and iced tea, fried chicken, potato salad, eight kinds of home-made pickles, home-grown tomatoes and onion on the char-grilled hamburgers, corn on the cob dripping butter, followed by ice-cold watermelon and in those days seemed we kids could spit the seeds a million miles...
  • Beeswacky! That's the best superlitive I can come up with. Perfection! But, I want some sparklers, too!
