Rabies spread by organs taken from an infected donor has killed three transplant recipients, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Thursday. Gads, where are they getting organs these days? Road kill?
  • I love you kim. This link makes me hungry. Wanna get dinner now?
  • Sorry, I just finished off a couple of Toffuti Cuties. Raincheck?
  • Done and done. wish i had a little toffuti cutie to call my own... any of you NY monkey ladies wanna meet for dinner?
  • Seriously, girls. He's cute, smart, and doesn't have rabies! (that I am aware of)
  • Don't trust forrrks until after the legal autopsy.
  • do any monkeys have the inside scoop on what the standard screening procedure for these sorts of materials is, generally? I would imagine it must be pretty tight, but on the other hand, prone to human error, like anything else. what a way to go *shudder*
  • Medusa, from what I read. Rabbies can only be detected correctly making an autopsy/biopsy of brain tissue. Thus, I don't believe it's part of the standard screening procedure for organ donation.
  • We get rabies all the time over here what with the socialised medicine and all. We feed selected body parts of the victims to athletes. Especially cyclists. They too have short nasty lives.
  • Wipe that foam offa yer mouth!
  • Rabbies can only be detected correctly making an autopsy/biopsy of brain tissue. I find usually the wide-brimmed hat and big beard gives it away.
  • RABID DOGS ARE TERRORISTS! PROOF! and remember, "this picture is not an exaggeration."
  • Ooh, that dog's got a neat tattoo! I hereby christen that photo "When Good SideDish Puppy Posts Go Bad."
