Curious George: Personal Wiki?
I really, really like the Wiki editor and would like to adapt it for my web server for personal essays, book reviews, etc. Unlike traditional date-based blogs, Wiki maps out content to static URLs, which helps organize things and is great for Google spidering. I'm so tiring of cobbling up and uploading HTML pages by hand! Can anyone recommend one of these Wiki clones or some other option for 'tiny footprint' personal use?

try snipsnap. it's not perfect, but runs without much difficulty in a java servlet container.

I use SeedWiki to work with Somewhat True Story, my BOTS wiki. It's free and easy to use. (The editor is a bit of a pain.)

If you are using a mac, Voodoo Pad is a great little Wiki like editor. It runs locally and is basically a notepad + wiki. It will then let you export the files as a web page for publishing if you want. I really like it, I use it for game design ideas all the time, as it makes organizing all my random thoughts a snap.

If you are technically proficient, I recommend Blosxom, which is a basic weblog tool with a decent number of plugins. The community is pretty cool, and there's several options for wiki. It's definitely tiny footprint, but it's not so good if you don't like to tinker.
