So this is a bugle shaped boom box...? We might also need churchbell-shaped boom boxes.
-
Some background for Americans, where the last post is called taps.

Day is done, Gone the sun, from the lakes, from the hills, from the sky, all is well, safety, rest, God is near.

Straight from the horse's mouth. Yours for $525.

I just got the taps mp3 off of Kazaa. Needless to say, it rocks.
-
If people are freaking out so much about having a recorded version of Taps, then they should just supply their own bugle player.

Wow, mare, I never knew that there were words to the Last Post. I used to go to this one Scout camp (in Canada) that would have maybe one or two US Scout troops visiting the same week my troop went up. One year, one of them had the cheesiest electronic bugle ever. That alone wouldn't have been so bad, but you could hear it all across the lake. Personally, I'd rather hear a recording of an actual brass instrument than synthesized tones. And at a Scout camp, I'd rather hear some poor kid struggling with a real bugle; otherwise it's just a pointless ceremony. I do remember at one Remembrance Day ceremony (seen on teevee) some time ago, the buglist really struggled with the Last Post, and it came out awful. Apparantly bugle music is more often played on a trumpet because it's easier, and then the buglists forget how to play the bugle...
