Awwwwwwwwwwwwww..... Menlo Park Elementary School kids perform the Polyphonic Spree's Light and Day. 35 Meg Quicktime Link - it's worth it.
  • Oops. Broke that link. should be This.
  • Ooooh, thanks so much for that. What a boost to the end of a somewhat crappy day. That's the cutest, happiest thing I've seen in a long time.
  • That is excellent. Cheers, Psyko.
  • 404. Monkeywrenched.
  • Whoops. Nevermind. This has been a test of the Emergency 404 system. If this had been an actual emergency you would have been instructed to proceed to your nearest mirror.
  • and that's why I love Polyphonic Spree... they create hope that anyone can be a rockstar. Very sweet. Thanks much!
  • Check out the kid standing in the back next to the guitarists with the straight blonde hair and the blue and white hawaiian shirt and khaki shorts. He rocks.
  • sort of like Langley School Music Project a truely haunting album. Their version of "Saturday Night" by the bay city rollers is too awesome for words
  • *walk off smiling & humming* hmmm mmm mmm and reach for the sun!
  • Damn, that rocked. Blue and white hawaiian shirts seemed very much the order of the day, I noticed. Excellent stuff. I can't stop singing it now either. *light... and day... is more than you'll say... because all... my feelings... are more than I can let by...*
  • That was amazing. Thank you.
  • So cute - i wish we had more cool music teachers like that.
  • I had my elementary students sing "Four of Two," "Mammal" and "Particle Man" by They Might Be Giants last year... does that count?
  • From the link for the Langley Schools Music Project, immediately following props from the likes of David Bowie and John Zorn: "It is very evident that the [Orff] instruments were not used as they would be used in the Orff-Schulwerk approach. AOSA has no desire to be connected with this recording ... Thank you for your interest in the American Orff-Schulwerk Association." --Executive Director, American Orff-Schulwerk Association For some reason, this made me laugh my ass off. Screw those silly people; that album is teh roX0r and has been something of an influence in my own approach to elementary music education.
  • Could someone post a mirror to the song? - the link seems definitively monkeywrenched now, as surlyboi ejaculated earlier (too early).
  • I knew I shoulda saved it! i don't think it's been mirrored anywhere. :(
  • http://www.thebobbleheads.com/school/ - try that link. it might work. (it did for me just now anyway. And MONKEYS WITH SERVERS! MIRROR THIS!)
  • I've put it up here. (right click and save as should work) If you have any problems with downloading it, tell me.
