The Woodcube.
Nintendo's newest retro console. (There's about 10mb of jpgs on this page)

Neat. But ugly. I mean, butt ugly.
-
certain, you mean "fugly" i take it?
-
I must admit I thought this was the worst thing I'd ever seen. Taking three perfectly decent (and pretty small) consoles, and turning them into one fucking massive device which fills up your entire living room. I feel bad about laughing at what is no doubt some over enthusiastic 12 year olds fun DIY project, though...

Man, I was expecting a nice slick wood veneer a la some mid-60s fancy turntable, but instead i got this... It is seriously hideous. I do like the labeling job though. Doesn't really seem like a good idea to have your CD drive so exposed either. I'm glad you posted it though, DNG, cuz I am always jealous of the mad skills some of these sorts of mod projects have and finally you've turned me onto one even I could probably best.

Is it so difficult to put a nice finish on the box? I guess I was expecting something more like this or this.
-
Or the dvd player that came with "spirited away" (its cool, but i cant find a picture of the damn thing)
-
Holy! All I can imagine is the CD coming unseated while its spinning up for yet another FF in-game movie.
-
The PC version is much nicer.

Geez, guys, I worked really hard on that. No, seriously, it reminds me of the time I made a Christmas present for my parents. It was a VHS tape holder made from old floorboards I found it the garage. It came complete with nails sticking out the bottom, so it scratched the stand my mom put it on.

Uglier than a hat full of arseholes. Uglier than a bulldog licking piss off a nettle.

Hideous. And did we need big-ass, eight-hours-to-download-on-dialup photos?
