Great minds think alike. When 8 cartoonists make essentially the same drawing...

  • Perhaps better written as "Mediocre inspiration with minimal originality minds think alike."

  • Perhaps better written as "BAAAAAAH!, not Ah! Inspiration!"

  • 1. Mediocre inspiration 2. Minimal creativity 3. ??? 4. Pundit!!!
  • Perhaps better written: When 8 cartoonists make essentially the same drawing, hilarity ensues - until a zombie chimpanzee named George W eats their brains and takes on all of their personalities at once! Warner Brothers proudly present: GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE Starring Corey Feldman, Ralph Macchio and Mary-Kate Olsen and featuring Steven Seagal as "Uncle Karl". Parental Guidance Recommended.
  • One thing I didn't get: Why did the wall (in the last cartoon, bottom of the page) just end right next to the character demanding it to be torn down?
  • Perhaps better written as: I enter a Knight's milk ad.
  • Perhaps better not written but, rather, done in an interpretive dance with large swooping motions of the arms and throwing the head back like SO, and some grand jetés, althought that's French, which is Bad, or so they tell me.
  • Perhaps better written as "BLAAAAAAARGHAAAAAARRRGHHH!!! AAARGHHHG!! BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAINNNNNNSS!!!!"
  • Perhaps not. The commentary on Ted Rall on that main link is pretty noxious and one sided.
  • Pretty apropos when it comes to Rall, huh?
  • Ted Rall, wrong or right, offensive or not, publicity seeking or not, is always funnier than any of these other shit cartoonists, the thousands of them, who are indisdinguishable in style from one another; bland & boring they work hard to maintain their jobs and a finite, mimicked, limited style that hasn't changed since the mid 20th Century. The fact that these eight cartoonists hit on the same idea is *not* indication that 'great minds think alike' it is indication that limited brains with limited vision + limited choice of motifs and an inability to really understand the social or political problems that are actually happening NOW, lead to mediocrity, facile statements, and because of all this, repetition. I can't stand Ted Rall, but he's a shitload better than any of these other tick turds. He makes me LAUGH. He makes me THINK. A lot of the time, though, he makes me UPSET. THAT is what a news cartoonist should be doing. Nobody has any balls in that business, because they are too afraid to lose their car & house. Same as the rest of the Ent. BiZ. Fuckem all. When will entertainers & commentators with balls return? Not for a generation or two, me buckos. Not until we, society, have already made our feelings plain and undertstood.
  • So...uh, tell us how you really feel, Nos.
  • I have to wonder why Mark Kistler didn't participate. He'd be great at drawing a wall like that.
  • Nostrildamus, yer awesome.
  • All hail Tedrallbashi!
  • Jeez, why all the fuss about Ted Rall? His article blasting Art Speigelman was pretty good. And ditto what Nostril said.
  • Perhaps better written as Mediocre Inspiration + Minimal Creativity = Minds Thinking Alike.
  • In tribute to Howard Cosell, I like to call the phenomenon "UGOTO": Uncanny Grasp Of The Obvious.
