Meet Canada's New Prime Minister (yes, that's his blog). I, for one, will miss Da Liddle Guy.
  • He once said being next door to the U.S, was like going to bed with an elephant.
  • I will miss Chretien too - I felt like I could really trust a politician who was so ...well, political. Didn't have any really defined platform, went with the wind, and most of all, few campaigns against anything. Politicians without a master plan don't end up doing lots of crazy things that everyone else regrets. Also, I was very impressed by the unpopular moral stances he has been taking in the months after announcing his retirement, including for gay marriage. He admitted his own uncomfortableness, but said it was the right thing to do.
  • I wish I'd been here. There was a great shot in today's Globe of Jean and Aline walking away from Rideau Hall arm in arm just after he tendered his resignation. I must admit to a tear. Oh how things have changed. Prime Minister Paul Martin.
  • Woah, looks like that original link (http://www.paulmartintimes.ca/) has been bought and re-directed. Especially interesting to any of you monkeys needing to do some holiday shopping.
